Suffering slightly from snow blindess after gazing at wedding gowns for hours, it seemed like the best antidote was to turn to shoes. (Of course!) Here are some of my current favourite sparkly wedding shoes for brides who demand a little (or a lot) of bling in their step.

Which are your favourites?

We put so much effort into choosing our jewellery, head piece, shoes, bags and all other lovely girly things. What about the groom though? He has to look great too- he can’t be standing at the top of the aisle in his tatty old Converse. So I’ve scoured the web to find some great dapper accesories for him to explore. Even better, they’re all absolute bargains! So grab your man, drag him over to the computer and take a look.

These contemporary blue cufflinks are great for the modern groom. The fantastic thing about them is that if you look closely, you will see they are mini spirit levels. The perfect choice for those practical husbands to be! If you fancy something a little more cynical, you can also buy mini sand timers- a great idea for a gift to a future groom as a tongue- in- cheek reference to his marriage. The blue shades add a masculine touch. From the wonderful Cuffs n Collars priced at a brilliant £12.99.

If a top hat isn’t your fella’s thing, how about a trilby? Of course, hats don’t come cheap but for a bargain alternative look no further than ever faithful Marks & Spencer. This wool trilby styled hat is just £19.50. A great look for a smart, dapper look without looking too traditional. Channel 1930s gangster chic with a pinstriped suit and smart shoes.

Speaking of which, take a trip to Faith. Not that I need to tell you twice, but this time steer away from the metallic kitten heels. Did you know they sell men’s shoes too? No? Don’t worry, I was too dazzled by the sky high stilettos to realise too! Just cop a look at these amazing brogues. Not just the domain of your Grandpa, this vintage style is hot on men right now. These lovely pairs are priced at just £60 and available in black or tan.

Of course, you want a gorgeous sexy groom waiting for you when you walk down the aisle. Finding the right accessories are a simple way to transform him from geek to chic. Just make sure he doesn’t look hotter than you!

White flowers are traditionally a symbol for purity and innocence. They create a crisp, fresh and stylish look to a wedding that is massively versatile: Just add splashes of any colour to this blank canvas to make it your own. What’s more, they never go out of season- this scheme can be used for June weddings right up to and beyond Christmas time. Just alter the secondary colours to change the mood of your wedding.

This breathtaking Ian Stuart gown is a guaranteed show-stopper! The “Cabaret” style is filled with luxurious cascading flower detailing to make sure you feel like a princess. At £2300 it’s certainly not cheap, but you will know that you look your absolute best.

This dress from Vivien of Holloway is the perfect choice for bridesmaids. With a cute flower design, this dress would suit anyone and it’s flattering boned bodice and circle skirt ensures anyone who wears it has a killer figure. Not only that but it is a complete bargain at £59!

These Faith shoes would look gorgeous under your wedding gown. Something a little different without being wild, these £75 shoes add a lovely subtle touch to tie in the flower theme.

Maisie Fantaisie designed this adorable wedding cake adorned with sugar daisies. It’s an elegantly simple design but it’s not your plain old fruit cake. Oh no, this delight is a gorgeous lemon curd cake. The two tier shown here is £550.

As for the flowers, what could look more lovely than white roses? This handtied bouquet is a stunning way to complete the scheme. This particular bouquet is £45 from Miraflores.

S Club 7 and Strictly Come Dancing star Rachel Stevens finally tied the knot with Alex Bourne in a Jewish ceremony on the 2nd August 2009. They married in the London’s fancy Claridge’s hotel with over 180 guests, although interestingly not one of her S Club co-stars was present.  Here is our summary of her sumptuous outfit, along with how you can replicate the look for less!

She married in a beautiful princess-style ballgown with a fitted silk bodice and full tulle skirt. Designed by Mira Zwillinger, it featured crystal beading and a pretty feathered corsage. She wore her hair in tumbling curls behind a simple two-layer veil and a delicate flower hair clip. On her feet were towering Christian Loboutin peeptoes,  and she wore dangling diamond earrings and a matching bracelet as finishing touches.

With Rachel’s dress reportedly costing over £4000, we’d need to save up a few more pennies to be able to wear it. However, help is at hand from the amazing Maggie Sottero range, with this gorgeous “Sinatra Marie” dress at around £600. It has a tulle skirt almost identical to Rachel’s dress, and with a ruched bodice this dress is uncannily similar. The only difference is the straps- perfect for brides who want a little more security than a strapless style- but you can always ask if it is possible to have them removed from your dress.

For a simple elbow-length veil, try the Wedding Veil Shop which sells this style for £35- it even features Swarkozski crystals, exactly like Rachel’s veil. A similar flower hair clip can be picked up at Acessorize for just £10.

As for the shoes, Christian Loboutins do not come cheap but I have found these bargain copies from Faith for just £55, and they come with a stunning flower corsage. At a whopping 4 inches high, these are perfect for shorter brides like Rachel.

To complete the look, pop on these pretty earrings and matching bracelet from Debenhams at just £40 for the pair. Curl your hair loosely, slick on a little liquid eyeliner and there you have it. Your superstar steal bridal outfit for a fantastic £740! I spoil you, really I do.
