Lyndsay and Cody wanted to reflect their common passions so this wedding shoot was unique and fun.

They got married at Brasstown Valley Resort, and the photography, Melissa Prosser, also shot some images with them the day after the wedding, when they could relax on horseback without spending too much time away from their guests.

Remember Gretchen from last week’s Trash the Dress feature? She did Lyndsay’s make up and hair for her wedding. Doesn’t she look beautiful?

Melissa and the bride, Gretchen started out in Little 5 Points before grabbing a burger at The Vortex. No worrying about spilling ketchup!

The fountain shots were taken at Centennial Olympic Park.

These are some of the most fun Trash the Dress shots I have ever seen.

The wedding dress was a custom creation by one of Gretchen’s friends, who used an old vintage gown from a thrift store as the base. This is an idea that I am toying with for my own wedding, so I hope I can make something just as pretty.

This stunning real wedding comes courtesy of Le Salon Bridal, in Michigan who supplied the gorgeous Rosa Clara gown, Nuage belt and Francesca Miranda veil.

The wedding venue was the Sheraton Hacienda del Mar hotel in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico – so it was fitting that the bride, Laila, was wearing a gown imported from Barcelona and veil from Columbia. The exquisite effect shows just what can be achieved when you think a little more globally for your wedding!

The garden dates back to the Tudor period (16th century), and was visited by both King Henry VIII and Queen Elizabeth I. Some of the brick walls you see in the photos are nearly 500 years old.

Some photos were taken in and around the adjacent ruins of Cowdray Manor House, which was built in the 1520s, replacing an earlier 13th century house – it was destroyed by fire in 1793.

The Kardashians don’t do anything by halves, so it’s no surprise that Kim Kardashian’s wedding was extravagant.  Did you know that she actually had THREE couture wedding gowns?

Kim’s Three Designer Gowns

I can’t blame Kim for splashing out on a Vera Wang gown.  I bet most people who could afford a Wang creation would.  But 3?

Yup, Kim couldn’t decide which style she liked best, so she had Vera Wang design and make three custom wedding gowns, and only decided which she would walk down the aisle in two days before the big day!

Option 1

A princess style ballgown with a full tulle skirt and a Chantilly lace bodice.

On the day, Kim wore this gown down the aisle.

Option 2

A mermaid gown with silk accentuating her trademark curves, an elaborate bodice and organza and lace ruffles around the hemline.

This dress was Kim’s choice for her first dance.

Option 3

A similar mermaid style to the second gown, but this time the epitome of understated elegance, with a graceful V neckline and simple, unadorned satin lines.

If you are looking for a fashion forward wedding photographer, you can’t get much better than Tom Cairns. One of my favourite photographers, his work is stylish, unique and captures the personality of the bride and groom impeccably.

English actress Sophie Winkleman married her royal husband, Lord Freddie Windsor, in a beautiful ceremony at Hampton Court Palace on 12th September. The ceremony is reported to have been an emotional one with Sophie- best known for her role as Big Suze in comedy Peep Show- weeping as she said her vows.

She walked down the aisle of the 16th century Chapel Royal in a stunning dress designed by Russian designer Anna- Roza Bistroff. It reportedly cost £5000- not a particularly massive cost for a Lady and she even allegedly managed to blag a discount as Anna- Roza is a family friend. Not bad going! Made of a whopping 80ft on duchesse silk satin and 36ft of taffeta, the beautiful ivory dress had a full skirt with delicate floral embroidery and a sweetheart neckline to the bodice. The long lacy sleeves perhaps looked a little dated, but Sophie looked radiant nonetheless. This dress was the stuff little girls dream of with a huge 10ft detachable train! She accessorised with a long two-layered veil and a simple diamond tiara to match her beautiful pearl and diamond drop earrings. Her hair followed the latest natural trend- flowing loose in gentle waves and her make up followed suit with a radiant natural look.

Sophie arrived in a silver Rolls- Royce with a police escort. As she walked down the aisle to Laudate Dominum by Mozart with a teardrop bouquet of white and pink roses with jasmine garlands by Annabel Lewis of VV Rouleaux florists, she was accompanied by no less than six young bridesmaids. They included her niece, Freddie’s family members and family friends of the couple. Each bridesmaid wore a white flower hairband also by Annabel Lewis.

Lord Freddie, an investment banker who is 31st in line to the throne, looked dapper in a grey suit with tails designed by Hardy Amies and a pale blue tie. A white rose to match his wife’s bouquet was used as a buttonhole. If you thought the bride had a lot of attendants, wait for this- Lord Freddie had a huge 15 groomsmen! His best man was good friend and singer Henry Morton.

The chapel was decorated beautifully with white candles and fabric butterflies decorating the trees outside which the 400 guests had to pass to reach the chapel. Guests included musician Bryan Adams, writer Julian Fellowes and Sophie’s television presenter half sister Claudia Winkleman. Of course there were several royals in attendance, the most prominent of whom was Princess Eugenie- one of the Queen’s grandchildren and sixth in line to the throne.

After the ceremony, the guests attended a reception in the palace’s Great Hall where they were served Champagne, canapes and cake. They then travelled to the nearby home of Lady Annabel Goldsmith for a party with a buffet and music provided by a band fronted by best man Henry Morton. With barely a day to recover, Lord and Lady Frederick set of to Los Angeles where Sophie is filming her new TV series.

A lovely, emotional royal ceremony in the most beautiful of locations- who wouldn’t want to marry in a real palace? The home of Henry VIII no less, let’s hope they have more luck than the infamous king did with marriage!

S Club 7 and Strictly Come Dancing star Rachel Stevens finally tied the knot with Alex Bourne in a Jewish ceremony on the 2nd August 2009. They married in the London’s fancy Claridge’s hotel with over 180 guests, although interestingly not one of her S Club co-stars was present.  Here is our summary of her sumptuous outfit, along with how you can replicate the look for less!

She married in a beautiful princess-style ballgown with a fitted silk bodice and full tulle skirt. Designed by Mira Zwillinger, it featured crystal beading and a pretty feathered corsage. She wore her hair in tumbling curls behind a simple two-layer veil and a delicate flower hair clip. On her feet were towering Christian Loboutin peeptoes,  and she wore dangling diamond earrings and a matching bracelet as finishing touches.

With Rachel’s dress reportedly costing over £4000, we’d need to save up a few more pennies to be able to wear it. However, help is at hand from the amazing Maggie Sottero range, with this gorgeous “Sinatra Marie” dress at around £600. It has a tulle skirt almost identical to Rachel’s dress, and with a ruched bodice this dress is uncannily similar. The only difference is the straps- perfect for brides who want a little more security than a strapless style- but you can always ask if it is possible to have them removed from your dress.

For a simple elbow-length veil, try the Wedding Veil Shop which sells this style for £35- it even features Swarkozski crystals, exactly like Rachel’s veil. A similar flower hair clip can be picked up at Acessorize for just £10.

As for the shoes, Christian Loboutins do not come cheap but I have found these bargain copies from Faith for just £55, and they come with a stunning flower corsage. At a whopping 4 inches high, these are perfect for shorter brides like Rachel.

To complete the look, pop on these pretty earrings and matching bracelet from Debenhams at just £40 for the pair. Curl your hair loosely, slick on a little liquid eyeliner and there you have it. Your superstar steal bridal outfit for a fantastic £740! I spoil you, really I do.
