Now don’t get me wrong, I am a strong advocate of “each to their own” in just about every way, but when if you are trying to express a strong, aggressive, dark soul through fashion with an outfit that looks like what the Hulk would wear if he wanted to go to a Hallowe’en party as The Crow…
…don’t do it in pointy toed, high heeled boots, hon!
Mens fashions at London Fashion Week 2010 were certainly a mix bag! While some designers showcased futuristic visions of radically new styles, others such opted to rework retro looks from eras gone by.
The old movie lover in me particularly enjoyed the 1940’s crisp, masculine lines and dashing trilbies of Hardy Amies’ Autumn Winter 2010 collection.

We put so much effort into choosing our jewellery, head piece, shoes, bags and all other lovely girly things. What about the groom though? He has to look great too- he can’t be standing at the top of the aisle in his tatty old Converse. So I’ve scoured the web to find some great dapper accesories for him to explore. Even better, they’re all absolute bargains! So grab your man, drag him over to the computer and take a look.

It’s not just all for the girls you know. There are also some collections with great menswear to create brilliant inspiration for your groom, or maybe his groomsmen. If you’d rather have a dapper, stylish groom waiting at the altar for you then take a look at some of the collections and gently guide him towards the styles you like best. Or, if he’s not the subtle kind, wave the pictures in his face shouting “Wear this!”. Not that you’re controlling or anything, of course.
The above Paul Costelloe design is possibly my favourite in the whole of the week’s collections. The striped jacket is very smart and unique so is ideal for the groom with individuality. The white skinny jeans add an informal, indie look that is great for an uber chic wedding in the city. Team with a smart shirt to add a formal touch to this laid back outfit. A stylish and sexy look for that groom who fancies something alternative.

They are not just for girls: pastel colours are getting more and more popular for men, especially for wedding wear. So I’ve gathered together some of the best pastel items for you to wear on your wedding day. Just don’t outshine the bride!

Kilts are a traditional part of Scottish dress and are therefore a popular choice for grooms who have Scottish heritage in their family tree. The wearing of a kilt is rich in history with different tartans for different families and has a lot of symbolism behind it. Of course, not to mention that men in kilts look gorgeous! With this becoming more and more common as a form of wedding attire, I have delved into the Scottish history books to find out more about this national treasure: Why did it come about, how do you wear it and, more importantly, what do you really wear underneath?

Whilst we spend months, if not years, poring over wedding magazines, cutting out images and pressing our noses up against shop windows in our hunt for the perfect dress, the groom gets it easy. He wears a suit. Sometimes a top hat. Done. But what if that’s not your man’s style? What if he’s a laid-back guy or a bit of a rocker, or a metrosexual fashionista? They can get a little neglected in the sea of tulle and silk. Well, just for those men out there who are panicking a bit on the inside, I have hunted down some of the best looks for those fellas who just don’t do formal suits.

Having a stylish wedding means making sophisticated, elegant and fashion-conscious choice for every detail of your wedding. Brides often take great care in selecting gifts for their bridesmaids, making sure that they are thoughtful and something that they will genuinely like. When it comes to the groom choosing his groomsman gifts we aren’t sure the same can be said.
Groomsman wedding gifts don’t have to be (and indeed shouldn’t be!) something snatched up from the high street at the last minute.
