If you have been spending endless hours obsessively pinning pretty things, then be prepared to love this new site I just discovered.  While Pinterest is about sharing images, and is hugely popular with brides, Tailored has been created exclusively with brides in mind and is brimming with delectable decor, fashion and accessory suggestions.

There is a distinctly handmade feel about the site and service, and indeed, many of the items featured are from independent sellers on Etsy.  This gives the site a more personal feel and adds a certain charm that keeps you clicking.  Brides and sellers alike will enjoy the fact that this site is designed as a marketplace.  No more clicking through to buy, only to find that the Pinned image was pinched from Google search.  There’s nothing more frustrating than seeing that perfect dress and then not being able to find it in the real world.

The name Tailored, comes from the fact that the site learns what you like and makes suggestions for you based on your activity.  The more you like and share, the more accurate the suggestions for your wedding shopping list.  Fab for creating a focused wedding theme.

My Favourite Finds:

Lyndsay and Cody wanted to reflect their common passions so this wedding shoot was unique and fun.

They got married at Brasstown Valley Resort, and the photography, Melissa Prosser, also shot some images with them the day after the wedding, when they could relax on horseback without spending too much time away from their guests.

Remember Gretchen from last week’s Trash the Dress feature? She did Lyndsay’s make up and hair for her wedding. Doesn’t she look beautiful?

I feel like I have been going to a wedding fair every couple of weeks since I got engaged, but at each one I find at least one vendor with something to excite me. This time, I wanted to share some work from the Openview Gallery in St Andrews. If you thought that large wedding portraits were a bit stuffy and self-indulgent, be prepared to change your views!

While I was browsing around the web looking over Pronovias latest gowns (Drool!) I stumbled across their YouTube channel and thought I would share this video with you of their 2012 Catwalk highlights.

These are truly some of the most beautiful and on-trend wedding gowns for 2012.

This feature was shot by the lovely photographer Melissa Prosser in Atlanta, Georgia.

Melissa and the bride, Gretchen started out in Little 5 Points before grabbing a burger at The Vortex. No worrying about spilling ketchup!

The fountain shots were taken at Centennial Olympic Park.

These are some of the most fun Trash the Dress shots I have ever seen.

The wedding dress was a custom creation by one of Gretchen’s friends, who used an old vintage gown from a thrift store as the base. This is an idea that I am toying with for my own wedding, so I hope I can make something just as pretty.

This stunning real wedding comes courtesy of Le Salon Bridal, in Michigan who supplied the gorgeous Rosa Clara gown, Nuage belt and Francesca Miranda veil.

The wedding venue was the Sheraton Hacienda del Mar hotel in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico – so it was fitting that the bride, Laila, was wearing a gown imported from Barcelona and veil from Columbia. The exquisite effect shows just what can be achieved when you think a little more globally for your wedding!

There is not a lot to say here, just a smorgasbord of beautiful bridal shoes!  So I will just let you browse the sumptous photos yourself.  I might just have to add a pair of these to my Birthday wishlist… I wonder how many of my friends read this blog?

I discovered these handy handbag holders a few years ago and keep buying and losing them because I use them so much.  A girl’s best friend, whether at a busy wedding reception (it is so annoying when your straps end up getting wrapped around a chair leg or worse, tripping up some oblivious guest) or a restaurant.

I think my favorite fashion wedding favor though, are these compact mirrors.  Sophisticated in the black and white damask, these are lovely for an elegant evening wedding.

The new collection of soft pinks, nudes and shimmery pearl shades from OPI could have been made with brides in mind.  Each polish in their New York City Ballet collection is subtle and feminine and perfect for a plain or french polish.

I also love the silver glittery topcoat for brides who want a bit more glamour in their manicure.  Ideal for my winter wonderland wedding!
