BHS Creates Royal Inspired Wedding Gowns

Is “inspired by” just a polite way of saying “ripped off”?  Whether that is true or not, there is no question that imitation abounds in the world of fashion, and BHS is just one of the latest high street brands to look to Kate Middleton as one of the world’s biggest trend setters.

They have just released two new bridal gown designs.  One, “Rose” is inspired by Kate Middleton’s beautiful wedding gown (designed by Sarah Burton for the Alexander McQueen house).

The gown features the same classic princess silhouette, with a lace overlay over a sweetheart neckline.

Don’t expect the same kind of quality that Kate enjoyed (the dress is a pure polyester and nylon mix) but at a fraction of the price just under £600 it is a beautiful option for brides who want the classic style without the couture price tag.

The second gown “Charlotte” is inspired by Pippa Middleton’s dress.  A simple, ivory gown which features the unusual cowl neck line and lace trim, this dress is only £175.
