Ana Torres 2010 Collection
Feminine beauty is this ultimate goal of Ana Torres, the Cordoba born Spanish designer who is internationally known for bridal and evening wear. Her talent to create fluid forms that highlight femininity is what makes this designer in such high demand. She is not only able to shape silks, muslin and chiffon in a way that stresses feminine elegance, but her dedication to creating the most modern of pieces that are still wearable for today's woman shines through in her collections.
The genius of her designs are not only in the patterns of her dresses, it is also in the intricate details that she adds to each creation: Swarovski crystals, feathers, and bows. It is the way she drapes the fabrics and how she creates trains on her bridal and evening gowns that puts her on the "fashion map" every year. The 2010 bridal and evening gown collection from Ana Torres is no different from her collections of the past. It lives up to the elegance and femininity that she is known for. With the color palette as bright as a coral reef this collection is a feast for the eyes.
The dresses Ana Torres has designed for this year are very young with the drapings reminiscent of the 1980's, although in a more elegant way. The evening gowns are fun and bold, but they don't make for very good bridesmaid dresses unless the bride is willing to give up some of the spotlight.
These gowns are perfect for an individual guest, but the same dress placed on more than one person would end up being an distraction. But with the draping and rosette detailing, the skirts that will make you want to twirl and fabrics being fit for a queen, as a wedding guest these gowns would be a winner. They would also be perfect for the mother of the bride or groom as they would enhance the importance of their role in the occasion.
All except for the gown with palm trees printed on it. I'm not sure that would fit into any occasion other than over-the-top beach wear??
For any woman with a wedding to go to this year, Ana Torres should be at the top of the shopping list.
