Possibly the most famous fashion icons from the silver screen of our generation, the girls of Sex and the City are back for their second movie and their stylists have been working extra hard to create unique and stunning looks for them as they grace the red carpets at premiers and parties.

Sex and the City 2 premiered in Radio City Music Hall on Monday night, and all of the cast were there sporting designer frocks from the likes of Elie Saab and Valentino.  Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Catrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon each wore a gown in contrasting colors to firmly establish their own sense of style. SJP and Kristin Davis then changed into classic “little black dress” choices for the after party.

Here is a break down of who was wearing what:

Sarah Jessica Parker
Premier gown: A floaty yellow chiffon full length dress with asymetrical tailoring by Valentino.  The train was so long that she often needed assistance from her bodyguard to keep it out of the way!
After party gown: A daring cut away dress with lace detail and fun skirt by Elie Saab.

Kim Catrall
Premier gown: This gold dress with sequin starbursts by Naeem Khan flattered both Kim’s impecable figure and skin tone.

Kristin Davis
Premier gown:  A bright pink strapless gown from the vintage collection of Jean Desses.  Could there be a more apt colour choice for “Charlotte”?
After party gown: Kristin let her party side out in a 3/4 length metallic silver dress by Pierre Balmain Couture.

Cynthia Nixon
Premier gown: I love Cynthia’s choice of this black Carolina Herrera gown, with a strapless bodice, subtle embroidered detail at the bust and elegant and feminine draping down the skirt.

Which look will you snag for your reception look?
