RIP Alexander McQueen

Britain lost one of it’s fashion stars this week, with the sad death of designer Alexander McQueen.  One of the most universally popular designers of recent years, with a long list of celebrity clients, McQueen’s talent pushed British fashion talent into a new era of respect and acclaim.  His success was not only well earned, but was an inspiration to thousands of young designers in the UK.

McQueen was found dead in his home, and is thought to have committing suicide by hanging.  McQueen was distraught over the death of his mother just days before.

Despite his controversial extravagance both on the catwalk and in his personal life, he was highly thought of and respected amongst his peers, friends and family and will be sorely missed by many.
