Say “Water, please” for great wedding day skin.
As your wedding date gets closer you may want to put two little words into real life practice: “Water, please.” Water is just as important a factor as diet and exercise in your physical preparation for the big day. Not only will it keep you hydrated as you run from floral arrangements to cake tastings, but it will also help keep your skin glowing.
And since we all know each one of us shells out quite a bit of money for those pictures and video of the big day, the last thing we want is dull skin.
Why should you choose water over your beloved diet fizzy drink or coffee as you prepare for the biggest day of your life? There are several reasons.
The main reason is that water helps to remove toxins from our bodies. Toxins build up in our systems, and if we are hydrated enough they get flushed out of our body in our trips to the bathroom. If we don’t drink enough water, they will find another way out; mainly through your skin pores, leading to blemishes.
For anyone who suffers from eczema or psoriasis, drinking a lot of water throughout the day can also help fight breakouts from rough, dry and itchy skin.
And for those of us who suffer from dark circles around our eyes, water can help with that beauty problem too. Keeping the body properly hydrated will help to eliminate that sunken effect as well as the darkness under the eyes.
Eight glasses a day of water is the recommended amount that the average person needs, however if you are exercising a few times a week to get your body in shape for the big day you might want to drink more to keep hydrated. If you are having a destination wedding in a hot country, then be sure to drink extra water too.
In order to get those eight glasses as you finish the final touches to the big day try exchanging your typical lunch drink for water, or take a bottle of water with you in your car and near your desk at work. The more readily it is available to you, the more you will probably drink it. And the more you drink the better your skin will look!
