Virtual Model Shopping Tool

BrandME- I am the brand, is the newest concept from My Virtual Model, the company set up by two Canadian entrepreneurs back in 1993. Their first My Virtual Model was released in 1997 and since then it has started to change the online shopping market.

Companies who have used this technology include H&M, Levi and Sears and it results in them receiving fewer items returned and higher sales.

Wedding Fashion Files had a play at creating our own virtual models. You can choose from different skin tones and body shapes, then set the height and weight of your virtual model. The facial features, hair colour and hairstyle can all be personalised too. Once you have your virtual model, the next stage is to dress them. The models in the pictures on this blog have been dressed from the section of H&M clothes and accessories.

If you’re a girl who liked playing ‘dress up’ as a child, then you will enjoy this (as I did!) It is a very good idea and would be helpful when deciding on wedding outfits, as once you have your chosen outfit saved, you can send it to friends for their opinion.

So hopefully UK stores will see the benefit of using this technology soon, so we can try on outfits in the comfort of our own homes and not have to suffer the dreaded high street changing room!
