We’ve just found out about a brand new concept to online shopping, Swop2Shop. Where you trade in your unwanted clothes and then use points, not cash to buy other clothes.
So how does it work?
The advantage for buyers is there’s no auction waiting times or the possibility of being out bid. For sellers, as you are paid in points, which can not be exchanged for money, so there’s no chance of what you have made from selling unwanted clothes getting swallowed up paying electric bill or mortgage. You can only spend your points on clothes… and accessories, and handbags, and shoes.
You can buy points to start you off, or top up any balance that you have, for example £10 will get you 12 points, £100 will get you 120 points. There is an annual membership fee of £15 but as an introductory offer, the first 500 people who register before 14th May and list 5 items will get free membership. Enter ‘sparklyscotty’ as your referrer.
The creators of the concept said that the idea was born from swapping clothes with friends, to refresh their wardrobes without having to spend any money.
In today’s economic climate when everyone is looking to tighten their belts, we love this idea that you can update your wardrobe without having to spend a penny.
You will also be helping the environment through recycling unwanted clothes, plus after the 14th May 10% of all membership fees will be donated to the three Swop2Shop nominated charities.
Maybe this is the start of every women’s dream, guilt free shopping!
